Omaha North High Magnet programs offer specialized curriculum and increased resources in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. STEM education has received a great deal of attention in the press over the past few years. Quite simply, having a well educated and innovative STEM workforce is critical to the economic security and prosperity of the United States. More importantly, a solid STEM education provides all of our children with a strong foundation to "keep the door open" on many opportunities throughout their lives.
Our magnet programs offer exciting, challenging, and dynamic curriculum offerings in these four STEM areas:
"Magnet schools offer extra-value curriculum and experiences not available at other schools in the district. Students and their families select magnet schools because of their interest in the theme or focus of the school. Generally, this interest is so strong that families are willing to sacrifice the conveniences of sending their children to schools close to home."
