Since 1987, Omaha North High Magnet School has invited intermediate and middle school students to participate in programs to explore the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The camps provide engaging and meaningful learning opportunities for students while introducing campers to problem-solving skills and techniques related to STEM fields. Camps are taught by Omaha North High Magnet School staff as well as teachers from McMillan Magnet Center and King Science and Technology Magnet (both feeder middle schools to Omaha North.) The Omaha North staff consists of Engineering and Science instructors who are trained and certified by Project Lead the Way, a nationally recognized pre-engineering curriculum.
