Bonjour! Guten Tag! Buenos Dias!  Open your eyes to the exciting world of languages.

Omaha North High School offers French, German and Spanish for those students that want to expand their minds and pave their way to a bright future!  Our students can take even take Advanced Placement French  and up to Spanish 9-10 in our building.

Students participate in local and regional competitions, producing plays and poetry, not to mention knowledge bowl competitions.

Our staff not only teach in the classroom, but in the real world as well.  Our French and German teachers offer exchanges to France and Germany every other year and our students get to experience foreign students in our building as well.  Below are a few pictures from a recent visit to Germany.

Our German, French and Spanish clubs involve students in a variety of activies year round, helping students gain a cultural awareness that is educational and fun.

Here are some photographs of the French Club preparing to march in the annual Homecoming Parade.

Come be a part of our world at Omaha North High Magnet School.

The German-American Partership Program has been a long-time tradition at Omaha North.  This partnership with Omaha's Sister City enables students to travel to Braunschweig, Germany and experience the world outside of the German classroom.  In addition, students from Germany will visit our school and experience life in Nebraska.

The next exchange will begin this March with 15 students from Braunschweig, Germany arriving in Omaha.  They will be hosted by students from our school for three weeks.  While in Omaha, they will participated in many day-to-day activities, including class at Omaha North High Magnet School.  They will also have scheduled trips to many points of interest in Omaha and the surrounding areas.

Omaha North students will in turn travel to Germany in June and will stay with host families and will take trips to Berlin and Bergen-Belsen. The exchange on both sides is three weeks and relatively inexpensive for travel abroad.

For more information on the exchange, please contact Melinda Bailey at 402-557-3433.
